Connecting to Cassandra from Zeppelin on EMR cluster

shyla deshpande
I am trying to access Zeppelin from a cluster
            emr-5.20.0
Applications:Spark 2.4.0, Zeppelin 0.8.0,
I have 2 issues.
1. I was able to add the cassandra interpreter. But now I am getting the following error.

2. I am unable to add spark-cassandra-connector

I appreciate your help.
Thanks

Hi Shyla,

the 0.8.0 version of Zeppelin does not support Spark 2.4.0 yet, or better to say it is not compatible with the Scala 2.11.12 which Spark uses [1]. Please, see more on this thread [2]. I had the same issue [3] and the workaround was to downgrade the Spark version on Zeppelin and wait until the new release of Zeppelin is out.

Please, let me know in case you found a better solution.

Best regards,
